We are Adam and Lanna Johnson and we both work for NewSpring Church in Anderson, SC. Adam and I met in 2004 when I was the Volunteer Coordinator for NewSpring’s Children’s Ministry. He was a new volunteer and a sophomore at my Alma Mater, Anderson University (although it was just Anderson College back then). I thought, “my that is a handsome man, but he’s way too young for me.” (Adam is 4 years my junior). From his story, he noticed me too, but claims I was out of his league. Fast forward 3 years later and he is now working at NewSpring and at a mutual birthday party we connected and danced and talked the night away.
From the beginning we were certain that God made us for each other. There was an undeniable peace when we spoke about the future. He feels like home to me. Two and a half months after we began dating, we were engaged and six months after that, on April 18th, 2008 we were married. Adam is my best friend and I love getting to spend my days with him.
